Having been a participant at OUBEP in 2012, it was a particular pleasure and honor being invited back as Course Director in 2017.
As in the past, this year’s delegates, too, formed a highly international and engaged group with diverse backgrounds from various industry sectors and non-profit organizations. Experienced leaders in their areas came together for two intense weeks to learn and discuss about the economy, future trends and levers in such fascinating areas as financial, trade or competition policies and theories.
Also this year, Delegates highly appreciated the combination of lectures and tutorials in smaller break-out groups. The social activities completing the academic part ranged from an inspiring tour through historical Oxford through the legendary visit of Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night in the patio of Bodleian Library and sportive croquet activities on the lawns of Egrove Park. High profile evening speakers from the European Central Bank, the European Commission, the Economist, the HS 2 railway infrastructure project, Novartis and a US law firm formed a good connector between the daily Faculty and practical implications.
OUBEP provides a unique and diverse learning opportunity for a lifetime experience in Oxford.
