Saïd Business School

The Oxford University Business Economics Programme celebrated its 50th Anniversary in 2003. During the last 53 years, the course has been held at a number of different Oxford colleges including Worcester, Brasenose and Merton. However, the needs of today's delegates have changed and we recognise the need for course delegates to remain in regular contact with their offices while attending the OUBEP Summer School or Topical Economics Programme. It is also realistic for delegates to expect a highly efficient communications infrastructure in the college.

We have listened closely to recent delegates about their 'priority' needs and in 2004 OUBEP made a long-term commitment to an Oxford college than meets all our requirements.

Saïd Business School (University of Oxford) at Egrove Park offers the Oxford University Business Economics Programme all the benefits of comfort, modern technology and communications: witth direct computer links in each of the split-level, en-suite rooms; a business centre with videoconferencing facilities; air conditioned lecture theatre and syndicate rooms; acres of peaceful landscaped gardens; and an on-site gymnasium and sports facilities.

There is no doubt that a top-class learning environment is extremely important, but key to the success of the Programme is the content - and particularly, the way in which it is delivered. The Oxford University Business Economics Programme offers the best of both worlds: Saïd Business School and academic content devised and delivered by tutors from the Oxford University Economics Faculty who lecture and use the highly interactive Oxford tutorial system.

While the Programme is designed to challenge the brightest and best up-and-coming leaders, the need to remain positively charged – a balance of vigour and rigour – is well understood. As well as having access to the gym and grounds at Egrove Park, other sporting, leisure and team-building activities and events are arranged during the course to ensure all delegates achieve the right balance.

The course director and manager ensure that all delegates have the opportunity to experience the totally inspiring elements of Oxford life - and the city itself.

For organisations considering taking advantage of this prestigious Programme, we encourage a visit to OUBEP during one of the Programmes. We are always willing to invite you to discuss the benefits and relevance of the course, directly with the faculty, staff and delegates in attendance.
